Custom Grill Badges (Black & Chrome ABS)
Client Pain Point (Weight & Aesthetics):
A high-end truck tuning shop wanted to replicate the aggressive “Brabus” aesthetic. They needed a massive truck grill logo that wasn’t heavy zinc (which vibrates loose on plastic grilles) but still looked premium. They also needed a complex “Blackout” look where only specific details remained chrome.
3DCUSTOMEMBLEM Engineering Solution:
1. Â Material Switch: We utilized ABS Injection Molding instead of Zinc. This reduced weight by 60%.
2. Â Complex Finish: We performed full Chrome Plating first, then used a precise masking jig to apply painting car emblems (Piano Black) over the chrome, leaving only the rim and letters shiny.

Engineering Q&A: Logistics
Q: How do you prevent damage during shipping for plates with studs?
A: Studs can scratch other plates. We utilize custom Egg-Crate Packaging (Blister Trays) to guarantee zero-defect arrival for high-value cosmetic parts.
